General Information

ARRIVAL

 

By Car

 

From the North:
Take the A5 motorway to the Weil am Rhein junction (exit 68). Continue on the A98 to exit Lörrach-Mitte. Continue straight, then take the first exit at the roundabout. After driving straight for about 5 minutes, you will find Hotel Stadt Lörrach on the left-hand side.

 

From Switzerland:
Take the A3 motorway to exit 14 Rheinfelden. Pass through the motorway customs onto the A98. Continue to exit 6 Lörrach Ost toward Inzlingen/Lörrach-Ost. Turn right onto Wallbrunnstraße (L141). Stay on Wallbrunnstraße, then turn right onto Belchenstraße at the end. After a few minutes, you will reach Hotel Stadt Lörrach on the right-hand side.

 

By Train
Travel to Basel SBB or Basel Badischer Bahnhof.
From there, take the S6 train to Lörrach Hauptbahnhof.

 

By Plane
EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL)
At the airport, use the exit to the Swiss side. Take bus BVB 50 toward Basel SBB and get off at Basel SBB.
From platform 2, take the S6 train to Lörrach Hauptbahnhof.

 

The Regiobus 220 “FREUND” (France–EuroAirport–Germany shuttle) runs hourly between Lörrach main station and the airport, and every 30 minutes during peak times. The full journey (8 stops) takes 50 minutes.
Please note: the Konus card is NOT valid on this bus.

PARKING

 

Our hotel offers a large number of underground parking spaces for €16 per night or €6 per day.
Reservation is not required. After check-in, access is granted via your room key. At check-out, you will receive an exit ticket after settling your bill.

 

 

E-CHARGING STATIONS

 

We have 2 charging stations for electric cars in the underground garage. Please note that you must bring your own charging cable.

 

 

BICYCLES

 

You are welcome to arrive by bicycle. A bike rack is available in the underground garage.

Smoking is not permitted inside the hotel. Please use the smokers’ lounge on the ground floor or balconies/terraces.

Giving experiences and moments of well-being as a gift is something truly special. You are welcome to purchase vouchers for overnight stays or dining at our hotel.
This can be done by phone or directly at the reception.

 

 

PAYMENT

 

For direct bookings at our hotel, you can conveniently pay by credit card. Additional services can also be paid by credit card or in cash at the reception.
In our restaurant areas, payment can be made by credit card, EC card, or cash.

 

 

CANCELLATION

 

Individual hotel reservations with a flexible rate can be canceled free of charge until 6:00 PM (local time) on the day before arrival.
For later cancellations, a fee of 80% of the booked services will be charged.
If you book a non-refundable rate, cancellation is not possible, and a fee of 100% of the booked services will be charged in case of modification or cancellation.

All 178 modern and comfortable rooms, as well as the 40 apartments in the boarding house, are equipped with Wi-Fi, a television, air conditioning, a minibar, an in-room safe, a hairdryer, a telephone, and towels.
Our rich breakfast buffet and the use of the fitness area are already included in the room rate.

Room service is available during the service hours of our restaurant. Please contact reception to place your order.

If you would like to have breakfast served in your room, please inform reception the evening before. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee same-day requests.

 

 

SOFA BED / BABY COTS

 

For an additional charge of €40 per night per person, we are happy to prepare the sofa bed in your room.
Baby cots can be added for €20 per night. Please request these when making your reservation.
Kindly note that this is not possible in all rooms and is subject to availability.

BREAKFAST

 

A rich breakfast buffet is included in all our room rates.
Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

 

Our buffet offers a wide selection of bread, rolls, and croissants, cold cuts and cheeses, hot egg dishes, various spreads and jams, as well as a cereal bar, yogurts, and quark, along with fresh fruit and vegetables.
You will also find water, juices, and a wide selection of hot beverages.

 

If you have any special requests, please feel free to speak to our friendly staff—we will be happy to prepare something fresh for you in our breakfast kitchen.

 

Do you have any food intolerances? Of course, we also offer gluten-free and lactose-free alternatives—please let us know when making your reservation. Our service staff will be happy to assist you with further information on site.

 

Would you prefer to have breakfast in your room?
No problem—please inform reception no later than the evening before. We will gladly bring breakfast to your room for a fee of €10 per person.

Our restaurant welcomes you:

Our hotel bar “1760” invites you daily from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM for refreshing drinks.

 

The event restaurant “Hebel” opens for special occasions or exclusive bookings.

 

During the summer months, we host a “Summertime BBQ” every Friday on our terrace with a fire ring. You can look forward to salads, warm side dishes, and delicacies from the fire ring—meat, fish, and vegetarian options.

 

Our restaurant also offers seating in a beautiful inner courtyard, perfect for relaxing.

Bathrobes and towels are available in the sauna area or upon request at reception. If you need anything further, please feel free to contact our staff.
Please note that both bathrobes and towels are hotel property and are provided for the duration of your stay.

Our fitness room is located on the 20th floor with a view over Lörrach and is available for our hotel guests at all times.

 

 

SAUNA

 

Our panorama sauna is located on the 20th floor.
Please note that this is a textile-free area.

 

Use of the sauna can be booked at reception for an additional fee of €5.00 per person per use.

Meetings

MEETING ROOMS

 

Our hotel offers 11 meeting rooms ranging from approximately 20 m² to 150 m², providing ample space and flexibility for your event.

 

Whether you need the rooms for half a day, a full day, or several days, we are happy to offer not only the facilities and appropriate technical equipment, but also tailored packages including drinks, snacks, and lunch or dinner.
We also have sufficient rooms available to accommodate meeting participants.

 

You are welcome to discuss our meeting packages and your specific requirements with our banquet office.

 

 

TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT

 

Our meeting rooms are equipped as standard with a screen, projector or flat-screen TV (depending on room size), one flipchart, one pinboard, as well as notepads and pens for all participants.

 

If you require additional technical equipment or setup, please contact our event office staff.
Please note that the setup of additional technical equipment requested on the day of the event will be charged at €49.00 per started hour.

 

We therefore recommend coordinating all technical requirements in detail with our event team in advance.

 

 

PACKAGES

 

We offer various meeting packages, which—depending on the duration of the event—include 1–2 snack breaks, lunch, and beverages.

 

All packages can be supplemented with additional snacks such as croissants, pretzels, or other small items. For longer events, you may also pre-book dinner in our restaurants.

 

 

ROOM SETUP CHANGES

 

Please note that we require your seating plan or preferred room setup at least 10 days prior to the event.
If this is not provided, the rooms will be arranged in a standard setup.

 

If the agreed seating arrangement is changed on the day of the event, a reconfiguration fee will apply:
€95.00 per started hour.

For celebrations at our hotel, we are happy to offer you a tailored package. These include an aperitif, beverages, and—depending on your preference—a set menu, buffet, or BBQ.

 

In addition, we offer a variety of optional extras such as snacks, a gin and vodka bar, or beverages from our Gessler Collection to make your event a success.

The event rooms are available on the day of the event from approximately 11:00 AM, allowing you to deliver and set up your decorations.

 

As a general rule, anything that can be removed without leaving residue is permitted.
Please inform us in advance about your decoration plans.

 

 

FIREWORKS

 

Fireworks are not permitted at Hotel Stadt Lörrach.
Please also note that releasing so-called sky lanterns (Japanese lanterns) is prohibited by law in Baden-Württemberg. Thank you for your understanding.

 

 

FREE WEDDING CEREMONY

 

For weddings at Hotel Stadt Lörrach, a free wedding ceremony can be hold in the green inner courtyard.

 

 

CHILDREN

 

Children are very welcome at Hotel Stadt Lörrach.
For groups of 10 or more children, childcare is mandatory.

 

We offer the following children’s packages (including food and drinks):

 

Children up to 5 years: free of charge

 

5-hour package:

 

  • Ages 5–9: €44.00 per child
  • Ages 10–15: €80.00 per child

 

10-hour package:

 

  • Ages 5–9: €49.00 per child
  • Ages 10–15: €89.00 per child

 

From age 16, the regular selected package applies.

 

 

CORKAGE FEE

 

We kindly inform you that bringing and consuming your own beverages is generally not permitted, including wine gifts and/or guest presents.

 

If you wish to bring your own beverages, please arrange this with us in advance.
A corkage fee will be charged per bottle, depending on the type of beverage.

 

ADDITIONAL STAFF COSTS

 

If your event continues beyond midnight (12:00 AM), additional service staff costs will be charged at €49.00 per person for each started hour after midnight.
This also applies to cleanup work.

 

 

MENU CARDS

 

Upon request, menu cards can be printed for €4.00 each.
You are also welcome to create your own.
We recommend one menu card per four guests.

 

 

MUSIC

 

We kindly ask you to keep bass levels moderate and to limit them further after 10:00 PM.

 

From 10:00 PM onwards, it must be ensured—especially with doors open to the inner courtyard—that hotel guests and neighbors are not disturbed by noise during nighttime hours.

 

 

FOG MACHINES & SPARKLERS

 

Are not permitted inside the premises.

RÖTTELN CASTLE

 

Rötteln Castle is the ruin of a spur castle located above the hamlet of Rötteln in the district of Haagen, Lörrach. Known locally as “Röttler Schloss,” it features two large defensive towers and was once one of the most powerful castles in southwestern Germany. It is the third-largest castle ruin in Baden and has been preserved since the 19th century to prevent further decay. A distinctive feature is its keep, which is rotated relative to the castle’s longitudinal axis.

 

 

EUROPA PARK RUST

 

Europa-Park is a theme and amusement park located about 90 km away in Rust. After Disneyland Paris, it is the second most visited park in Europe and is well worth a trip for both young and old. In addition to countless attractions, the park also offers numerous restaurants and hotels.

FONDATION BEYELER

 

One of Europe’s most renowned art galleries, the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen enriches the tri-border region with ever-changing exhibitions by international artists.

Since September 2015, a sculpture path featuring works by artist Tobias Rehberger has connected the Fondation Beyeler with the Vitra Campus architecture park in Weil am Rhein. The project, called “24 Stops,” was expanded in June 2016.

The Vitra Design Museum is an internationally renowned private design museum located in Weil am Rhein, Germany. Its collection focuses on furniture and interior design and includes the estate of American designers Charles and Ray Eames, as well as works by George Nelson, Alvar Aalto, Verner Panton, Dieter Rams, Jean Prouvé, Richard Hutten, and Michael Thonet.

 

It is one of the world’s largest collections of modern furniture design, featuring pieces from all major periods and styles since the early 19th century.
